Your spreadsheet stays yours

Okane reads and writes your budget in a Google Sheet in your own Drive and caches data on your device. You can open, export, and manage the spreadsheet independently of Okane. Deleting your Okane account does not delete that spreadsheet.

Information beyond your spreadsheet

• Firebase Authentication processes sign-in and security information.
• Our Google Cloud and Supabase backend supports account-linked features, subscriptions, notifications, and referrals.
• Optional Plaid features process bank connection tokens, accounts, transactions, recurring information, and net-worth history. Confirming a transaction does not immediately remove every related bank record.
• Google Analytics measures usage. Supported app versions use Meta for installation, session, and purchase attribution. Device and app identifiers are not necessarily anonymous.
• On-device categorization runs locally. Optional receipt scanning sends images through our backend to Google's AI service for extraction.

Bank connections and security

Bank sync is optional. Plaid provides a connection token rather than your bank login credentials. Okane uses authentication, access controls, and encrypted connections to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security.

You can request removal of a bank connection by contacting support. Canceling premium and deleting your account are separate actions.

Google access and deletion

You can revoke Okane's Google access at any time. Revocation alone does not delete information already received.

Free and paid users can request deletion of their account and personal data. Your spreadsheet remains in your Drive. We explain applicable retention exceptions and provider processing times when responding.

Okane's use and transfer of Google API data adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.
